Internal Quality Assurers Qualifications

We offer the following qualification for IQAs:

• The Level 4 Award In Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
• The Level 4 Award In Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
• The Level 4 Certificate In Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

A two unit Award for IQAs who are currently involved in quality assuring the assessment of vocational qualifications.

VQAS take a carefully planned and structured approach to the training and assessment of this qualification which includes:

• Two half day training sessions
• A workbook through which Learners can explore and demonstrate their knowledge and understanding
• The inspection of the records maintained by the Internal Quality Assurer
• The observation of the trainee IQA working with two of their Assessors
• Professional discussions
• Witness testimony from the IQA’s Centre Manager, and if necessary
• Assessor Set Questions

NB To undertake this Award IQA-Candidates will need to have a qualified IQA to check and countersign their QA work in the workplace, however it may be that VQAS can provide this service.

Using internet technology this qualification can now be delivered remotely.

The fee for this Award may vary according to particular circumstances but a guide price would be £2150 per IQA Candidate Fees negotiable for larger groups of Learners.

Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

A single unit qualification for those wanting to gain an understanding of internal quality assurance without the need to practise.

• It is particularly suitable for those who are not currently acting as an IQA but who hope to do so in future.
• This Award is undertaken by way of Distance Learning Modules using two VQAS designed Workbooks. The fee includes the cost of two 2 hour training sessions
• Learners will have a personal Assessor with whom they can consult.

The fee for this Award is £750

Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

A three unit qualification for IQAs who lead a team of IQAs involved in quality assuring the assessment of vocational qualifications.

• The approach to assessment will be as outlined for the Level 4 Award above.

This qualification can now be delivered remotely.

The fee for this Award may vary according to particular circumstances but a guide price would be £2350 per IQA Candidate.
